Ann Kim


Yorktown, Va. – Ann Kim, our beloved and all- and ever-giving Wife and Mother; Friend of a great many; and business owner for 35 years died unexpectedly on January 25, 2022, at the age of 65 in Yorktown, Virginia.
Ann is survived by her husband, Francis Glynn; her children, Dr. Richard Di Cicco (Danielle Di Cicco, and her anxiously awaited unborn granddaughter), Lisa Di Cicco, and John Di Cicco; their father, Domenic Di Cicco; siblings in South Korea, Keum Rae Kim, Se Re Kim, and Sang Nae Kim; as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins, some here in the US and others in Korea. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Mun Seong Kim and Eon Nyeon Lee; an older brother, Ik Rae Kim; and recently by her dearest companion and “child” of 14 years, her Maltese “Tiger.”
Ann was born in South Korea on March 1, 1956 and came to the US in 1972. An Air Force wife, she gave birth to her three children at various duty stations: in 1973 (Richard), 1976 (Lisa), and 1978 (John). She was always a devoted mother and worked endlessly to support her family to the day she died. She had little idea how truly good she was.
A viewing is scheduled for Monday morning, February 7, 2022, at 9:00 at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 315 Harris Grove Lane, Yorktown, VA 23692, followed an hour later by the funeral service. Flowers and memories may be offered at the church on the day of the service. Memorial donations also may be offered on her behalf to St Joan of Arc Church or to the Peninsula SPCA, 523 J.
