Jeffrey Reed Talbot

Jeffrey Reed Talbot went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2026.
He was born on June 16, 1956 to William Talbot and Hazel Talbot in Williamsburg, Virginia. Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 48 years. He was blessed with two children: Nicholas Talbot and Alyssa Talbot, two sisters: Michelle Talbot and Beth Glinsky, and preceded in death by his sister Lisa Jones. Jeff had two grandchildren that he loved dearly: Odin Talbot and Franklin Talbot.
Jeffrey grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia. He enjoyed sports and played in Little League softball, then continued playing baseball, basketball, and football in middle school, and high school. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with friends and family. He had a deep love of all living creatures. Pet dogs and cats were always part of his life. His rescued cat, Ginger, was by his side until the end. He worried about all the wild “critters” outside too. He kept water in the bird baths, nuts for the squirrels, sugar water for the humming birds, and even leftovers for the raccoons, opossums, and the occasional skunk. He was fun-loving and enjoyed visiting with friends. The beach was his special place where he could enjoy God’s creations. Jeff had a comedic personality that touched everyone around him.
A memorial service will be held on May 9th, 2026, at Providence Baptist Church in Hayes, Virgina at 11:00 am.
Instead of flowers, please donate to Jeff’s favorite charity, The Special Olympics.
