

William “Bill” Earl Richmond



William ‘Bill’ Earl Richmond,
Born November 28, 1934 passed on to be with the Lord February 2, 2026.
Bill was born in Milton Kentucky and raised on a farm of which he continued to have fond memories throughout his life. He joined the Air Force after high school and while serving overseas he met the love of his life Maureen. He went on to have a successful military career attaining the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He was awarded the AF Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (twice) and the Bronze Star with Combat Valor Device for service in Vietnam. He retired after a 28 year career in the military and continued his service to the country as a military contractor.
Bill enjoyed spending his retirement time with family and friends. He loved riding the roller coasters at local amusement parks and snow tubing with his grandchildren. Bill was a lifelong Kentucky basketball fan and enjoyed watching all sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Louise (Rowlett) Richmond, brothers Charles, Donald, Randall, and Robert. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Maureen, his sister Mary Ann Taylor, and three sons, Kevin (Michele), Steven (Beth), William. Also, six grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Bill was an active member of St. Timothy’s Anglican Church as long as his health would allow. A celebration of life will be at St. Timothy’s (962 Poquoson Avenue, Poquoson) at 2:00 on Monday, February 9th.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 3:00 PM in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA
