

Vivian Lee Allen Canada

Vivian Lee Allen Canada, lovingly known as “Susie,” age 91, passed away on January 22, 2026. Vivian was born to Golden Dewey Allen and Mamie Lee Allen (Ebbs). She married the love of her life, Allen Vincent Canada, and together they shared 62 years of marriage. They lived in Newport News before later making their home in York County. Vivian was a devoted homemaker who lovingly raised her children. After her children were grown, she worked for more than ten years at Pop’s Drive-In. She was a talented seamstress who made many clothes for her children and grandchildren, gifts that will be treasured for generations. Vivian had a deep love for children and babies and spent many years babysitting children in the Seaford community. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen Vincent Canada; her grandson, Keith Stinson; and her five brothers, Dewey, Jim, Bill, Joe, and Jack Allen; son in law, Barry Stinson. She is survived by her brother, John Allen; her children, Anna May Hopkins (Chris), Connie Stinson Bays (Ron), Stephen Canada (Joyce), Daryl Canada (Donna), and Allen Canada (Denise); her grandchildren, DeeDee Matthews, Gerry Hopkins, Jason Stinson, Heather Canada, Vincent Lee Canada, and Jennifer Canada; her great-grandchildren, Miles, Easton, and Cole Matthews; Hunter Stinson; Blair Stinson; Palmer Hopkin; Madison and Grant Hartman; and her great-great-grandchild, Alivia Stinson.
Visitation will be held at Zion United Methodist Church in Seaford, Virginia, beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. On Saturday January 31, 2026. Graveside services will follow at Parklawn Cemetery in Hampton, Virginia, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church Building and Cemetery Fund.
