Anita Carol Holmes

Anita Carol Holmes gained her angel wings on Thursday, January 15th, 2026 while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 16th, 1963, in Inman, South Carolina, to the late Conrad Nelson Ridings and Shelby “Jean” Luckadoo. Anita had a larger-than-life spirit and never met a stranger. She loved her family and friends deeply and had a heart as big as the world. Always willing to help anyone in need, she consistently put others before herself. She touched the lives of all that knew her, and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her niece, Angela Lewis (Oliver) of North Carolina; great-niece and great-nephews, Madison (Thomas), Joshua, and River; fiancé, Wade McLawhorn of Yorktown; his children, Justin (Kiera), Matt (Megan), and Tyler (Megan); and his grandson, Ethan. A celebration of life will be held at Amory Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31st at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
