Sally Shaw Maness

Sally Shaw Maness, 96, of Yorktown, VA, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, surrounded by her daughters. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness touched everyone she met. Sally will be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Sally was born on July 29, 1929, in Richlands, VA and spent her life as a homemaker for her family. She was a charter member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Sally loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers. Her favorite hobbies were ceramics and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Maness, her son Frank Maness, her parents Earl and Lucille Shaw, brothers Earl Shaw, George Shaw, and Donnie Shaw. She is survived by her son Rob Maness (Candy), Chris Cianelli (Nick), Debbie Gengler (Larry), and her brother John Shaw (Larraine). Her grandchildren, Shawn Cianelli, Nichole Knicely, Ryanne Shields, Jessica Firman; great- grandchildren, Madison Knicely, Taylor Knicely, Aniston Cianelli, Jackson Firman and Adryanna Lebron and many nieces and nephews. Please join us for a memorial service on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Amory Funeral Home, 410 Grafton Drive, Grafton VA. Visitation will be at 11:00 am followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens, Hampton, VA.
