John Andrew Wargo, Jr.

Yorktown, Va. – John Andrew Wargo, Jr. (Jack), 83, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was born in Trenton, New Jersey and settled as a Yorktown, Virginia resident in 1986 following a 26-year career in the United States Air Force.
Jack is also a retiree of the United States Post Office. He was a former member of the Exchange Club of York and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Lynn Wargo and her husband Calvin Booth Carpenter of St. Kitts & Nevis, and Barbara “Barbie” Ann Lineberry of Yorktown; granddaughter Skylar Ann Sharon and her husband Kane Sharon of Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri; grandson David Jon “DJ” Lineberry, III of Yorktown; and a brother Michael “Mickey” Wargo of Ewing, New Jersey. Jack a is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jack enjoyed a good glass of wine, doting on his grandchildren and watching every television broadcast of Top Gun.
In accordance with Jack’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
