Shirley Ann Geiger

With profound love and deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Shirley Ann Geiger (83), an extraordinary woman—a devoted wife, a steadfast mother, and a pillar of strength to all who knew her. A remarkable mother of six children,  9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren she leaves behind a legacy built on courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She is survived by her children—Lea Ann, Leo Michael, Mary Denise, Christopher Charles, Timothy Aaron and preceded in death by her daughter Jayne Marie (deceased in infancy) with boundless love and resilience. As a military mother, she carried the weight of raising five children while her husband served on multiple tours, guiding her family through every challenge with grace, determination, and an unbreakable spirit. Her children stand as a testament to the strength of her character and the depth of her love. After 59 years of marriage, she now returns to the loving arms of her husband and is reunited with her precious daughter as well as her brothers and sisters. This reunion brings comfort to the hearts of her family, knowing she is embraced by peace and love in heaven. Born the middle child among eight siblings, she grew up with a fierce drive and a quiet confidence that allowed her to accomplish anything placed before her. Whether supporting family, overcoming life’s hardships, or finding joy in the everyday moments, she approached every task with strength, determination, and a servant’s heart. She will be truly missed by her family, her friends, and all who were blessed to have known her. Though her presence can never be replaced, her love, her example, and her enduring spirit will continue to guide those she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave. The family will receive visitors at Amory Funeral Home in Yorktown, Va on Thursday, December 11, 2025, 5:00 – 7:00 pm.  Burial will be at Albert Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA on Monday, December 15 at 3:00 pm.
