Hayden A. Ross-Clunis III, M.D.


Hayden A. Ross-Clunis III, M.D., 65, died peacefully at his home in Seaford on October 5, 2025, from Bulbar ALS.
He was the son of the late Hayden Ross-Clunis Jr. and Elisabeth Chapman Ross-Clunis. Dr. Ross-Clunis graduated from the Medical College of Virginia in 1991. He completed his residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He practiced Internal Medicine at the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) for 30 years. He retired in 2021 from the Hampton VA Medical Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Ross-Clunis. Left to cherish his precious memory is his wife, Monica Green Ross-Clunis. He was the proud stepfather of Alexandra Schrum and Parker Schrum. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Mary Ross-Clunis Henkel, her husband Kent and their family: Jenna, Ross, and Olivia; and his beloved brother, Ed Ross-Clunis, his partner, Carrie Parker, and Ed’s son, Henry. He leaves behind a whole host of lifelong friends that were his family too. If so inclined, memorial donations may be made to the Yorktown Hospice House P.O. A celebration of life service will be held at noon on October 25, 2025 at Amory Funeral Home with the Rev. Katherine Gray officiating. The family will receive friends at Amory at 11:00 am for 45 minutes prior to the service.
