Barbara Priode Beasley

Tabb, Virginia — Barbara Priode Beasley, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on August 12, 2025.
Born in Hampton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Patton Priode and Theresa Mullins Priode.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of over 62 years, Gary Ronald Beasley; her children, Scott Alexander Beasley of Huntsville, Alabama, and Kimberly Dawn Beasley of Bridgewater, Virginia; her sisters, Margaret L. Tulloch and Peggy S. Crenshaw; five beloved grandchildren; and three cherished great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Joyce A. Priode and Fred C. Priode.
Over the course of approximately 20 years in civil service, Barbara held both full-time and part-time positions at Fort Monroe and Langley Air Force Base. She later served as secretary at Northampton Church of Christ for a decade before retiring.
Barbara will be remembered for her steadfast devotion to her family, her quiet strength, and her faithful service to her church and community.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at Seaford Baptist Church in Seaford, Virginia, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
To honor her memory, donations may be made to any York County, Virginia, first responders association.
