Marian Butler Shields

Marian Butler “Snooky” Shields, 96, passed away on Tuesday October 1, 2024. Marian was a native and lifelong York County resident. She retired from Fort Eustis in 1982 after 23 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Eugene “Blue” Shields, Sr. and her son Harry Eugene “Buddy” Shields, Jr. and her parents Joseph Garrett Butler and Marian Estelle Butler and sister Lelia Merrill Easley. She survived by her granddaughter Marian April Fabry (Joe Pollock) and great grandson Justin Michael Hunt and Randall Blake Frazier and brothers, Joseph Donald “Buster” Butler (Judi) and John Carter Butler, Sr. (Velma Mae) special nephew Danny Easley all of Yorktown.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 to 6 at Amory Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday in Amory Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
