Ruth Gray Dunn

Yorktown, Va. – Ruth Gray Dunn, 87, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
Ruth was a native of Suffolk, Virginia and a Yorktown resident since 1966. She retired from JC Penny as a Training Supervisor in 1997. Ruth was an outstanding seamstress, quilter, and crafter and would enthusiastically share her skills and talents with all who were interested.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Hennen Dunn and her sons, Gary Thomas Dunn, David Allen Dunn, and Charles Andrew Dunn (Susan). She is survived by her sons Richard Hennen Dunn (Sherri) and William Hurley Dunn (Kathy), and a sister Rachel Richards. Her love and encouragement will be greatly missed by her four grandchildren
Julianne (Adam), Brittany (Sean), Lizzie, and Tori and four great grandchildren Luke, Levi, Will, and Bryson.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in the Amory Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, Va.
