Phyllis Ferebee

Phyllis Ferebee of Yorktown, VA passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024 at the age of 90.
She went to join her soulmate and husband of 72 years, who passed away in November, 2023. She spent much of her life as a military wife, making the most of the travel and friendships along the way. They retired in the Hampton Roads area working in civil service and numerous businesses. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and took on a number of roles running various businesses, including an antique store, a pawn shop, a Schwinn bicycle shop, along with a number of rental properties. Phyllis loved to read, laugh and dance with her husband.
She is survived by her daughter Crystal and son-in-law Alex Pilkins, brother Morris Jones, and sister Joann Lampart. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Ferebee and son Charles (Chuck) Ferebee Jr.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 13, 11 am at Amory Funeral Home, 410 Grafton Drive, Yorktown, VA. A graveside service will follow at 1pm at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her honor.
