Patricia Ann Martin

Patricia Ann Martin, 91, of Yorktown died peacefully on Tuesday November 28, 2023.

She was born in Passaic, New Jersey in 1932. Patricia graduated from Englewood Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She had a successful career in nursing and real estate and served on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sussex County, NJ. She will be remembered for her artful hand in sewing, painting, and gardening; as well as a lifelong love for her standard poodles and doberman, and joyful years raising her children “at the lake” (Highland Lakes, NJ). She is preceded in death by her parents Martin and Anna VanderWerf Sr., and brother Martin VanderWerf Jr. Patricia is survived by her son James E. Jr (Maxine) of Huntington Beach CA, son Eric P. (Wendy) of Sparta NJ, daughter Judith K. Rosen (Stuart) of Towaco, NJ, daughter Suzanne P. Renforth (Michael) of Yorktown, VA, sister Eileen M. Brink (Robert) of Wharton, MD, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Peninsula SPCA, Newport News, VA.
