Frances Abbott Burbage

Frances Abbott Burbage passed away on September 4, 2023 at the home of her daughter, Vicki who cared for her with the help of her sisters.
Surrounded by her family, she went to be with the Lord. Heaven has gained a true angel. She was 82 at the time of her passing. Frances or Gammy as her Grandchildren call her, was born on March 20, 1941 in Newport News Virginia to Talmage D. and Laura T. Abbott. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Bill who was the love of her life. They married when she was 16 and he was 18 and had been married 56 years at the time of his passing. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gerald Mahlon Abbott.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura Burbage Bell and her husband David, Vicki Frances Burbage and Wendy Burbage Smith and her husband Bucky. Grandchildren, Kevin P. Bell and his wife Simone, April Bell Jeffries and her husband Edward, Jacklyn Gauger Anderson and her husband Justin and Vivian Faith Smith. Great Grandchildren, Alanna, Kayden and Anakin Jeffries, Kevin Bell Jr. and Skylar Anderson. Brother-in-Law, John R. Burbage and special friend, Sandra Cokely
A viewing will be held at Amory Funeral Home 410 Grafton Dr. in Yorktown on September 9,2023 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm
