Ray Julian Taylor

Newport News, Va. – Ray Julian Taylor passed from this life into eternal life Saturday, June 17th, 2023.
Ray was born in Andalusia, Alabama.
He was survived by his Loving wife Elli for 59 years. His four children, Sue E. Fitzgerald and spouse Jerry, Steven T. Taylor, Rae Allison Jones and spouse Tom, Michael D. Taylor and spouse Stacey. Twelve Grandchildren, Douglas, Isaiah, Elijah, Jeremiah, Deborah, Hannah, Rebekah, Brittany, Courtney, Noah, Jonathan, Stefanie ten great grandchildren, Christian, Porter, Ellie, Colton, Amelia, Andrew, Julian, Jordan Isabella, CJ one great-great grandchild, Natalia.
SGM Ray J. Taylor retired September 1, 1990 after serving 30 years in the United States Army. He was a Vietnam Veteran and did two tours of duty in Korea. He was a mighty man of God who shared the Love of Jesus with everyone he met.
A Celebration of his Life will be held 5:00 PM Monday, June 26, 2023. The family will receive friends starting at 4:00 PM at World Outreach Worship Center,1233 Shields Rd Newport News Va. 23608 Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday June 27, 2023 in Albert G Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
