Nelma K. Kiser

Nelma K. Kiser 93, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. She was born Nelma Faye Kiser on August 26,1925 to Lula Powers & Mont B. Kiser who preceded her in death. She married Ira Lannis Kiser on December 26, 1946, who also preceded her in death. Surviving her are her son, Vaughn C. Kiser and daughter, Paula Kiser Belvin. She was born into a family of 10 children, 6 sisters & 3 brothers. Preceding her in death were siblings Rollen Burke Kiser, Nina Honaker, Lucille Cromer, Ransome Eugene Kiser “Joe”, Virginia O’Connor, Edna Bowman, Laquita Joy Stanley, Francis JoAnn Wilson and Franklin Delano Kiser. She was a resident of York County since 1968 and retired from Newport News Shipyard. She was active at the York County Senior Center where she enjoyed line dancing & bingo. She also enjoyed Senior Bingo at KMart. She was an active Woman of the Moose. The family would
like to Thank York County EMS, Riverside Regional Medical Ctr, York Convalescent and Bon Secore Mary Immaculate Hospital & Hospice. Visitation will be Monday July 1, 2019 from 6-7:30pm at Amory Funeral Home and Family Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 2pm at McCowan Chapel, North Hazel Mtn Rd, Dante, VA
