Wilma Lucy Shultise

Wilma Lucy Shultise, 96, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017. Wilma was a native of New Jersey and a peninsula resident for many years. She was a former member of St Mark Episcopal Church and member of Christ the King Episcopal Church.
Wilma was graduated from Whitman Jr. College, Newark NJ in 1939. Went to work for Mack Mfg. Corporation as Secretary to Chief Engineer. During the war she worked for Atlantic Diesel (run by Seward Johnson). They manufactured airplane propellers. She was married January 23rd, 1943 to Walter Shultise. She also worked during the war at Unexcelled Mfg. Company, which manufactured parachute flares. Wilma also worked at Sagamor Metal Goods in Milltown NJ, which made bullet casings. Her husband Walter was in the service overseas for 3 years. She worked for Unijax and retired as secretary for Hunter Associates Lab after 12 years. After retiring she worked in Real Estate and received a certificate in International Marketing, and worked as assistant at Holloman Child Development in Williamsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Pauline Allgeier and a sister Althea Allgeier and is survived by her daughters, Paula Vanarsdale and Pamela Shultise and a son, Mark Shultise She is also survived by her sister, Louise Pauline Speldos and 3 grandchildren, Terry Lynn Vanarsdale, Eric Vanarsdale and Caren Vanarsdale and 6 great grandchildren Timothy Cook, Adam Cook, Joshua Cook, Brett Morrison, Maxwell Newsome and Mya Newsome and a great great grandson David Cook.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, July 28, 2017 in Amory Funeral Home Chapel. Our Mom was a breast cancer survivor and would have been overjoyed if you would consider donations towards cancer awareness or to CHKD, 601 Children’s Lane, Norfolk, VA 23507
