Veronica Josefa ‘Ronnie’ Beylor

Veronica Josefa Beylor ‘Ronnie’ died peacefully in Yorktown, Virginia on May 15th at the age of 83 with her family by her side. Ronnie is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Winston Beylor; children Randal Olson of Gloucester Va, Regina Mauras and her husband Edwin, of Auburndale, FL; a step-son Michael Beylor of Tuscon, Arizona; her sisters Margaret Mary Davis of Barnsboro NJ, and Ruth Ellen Davis of Lancaster PA; Grand-children Jason Ward of Poqouson, Devon Seward of Homer, Alaska, Benjamin Hawkenson of Auburndale, Florida, Cassandra Olson of Gloucester. Christopher Olson of Yorktown, and William Olson of Matthews. And a beloved niece Jeanette Craymer. Great-grand-children, Justen, Kyla, Torak, and Neil. She is preceded in death by her daughter Rose Mary Olson and Richard Mark Olson.
Ronnie was born on November 16, 1934 in Haddon Heights, NJ to Elizabeth Hildebrandt Davis (deceased) and Irvin Edwin Davis (deceased). She graduated from Pitman High School in 1952. She moved to York County, Virginia in 1973, and has called this her home ever since. She lovingly raised her children, was an accomplished home-maker, gardener, and loved yard sales. She volunteered for Patrick Henry Nursing Home for many years. She was always willing to help someone who needed it. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grand-mother, and friend.
A funeral service is scheduled for 5:00 PM Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Amory Funeral Home in Grafton, VA. Tom Everett will officiate at the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Veronica’s life. Burial will be held at Beahm’s Chapel in Luray, VA. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Riverside Hospice or SPCA of Newport News. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers of Riverside Hospice for their kindness and care.
