Patricia Corcoran Winters

Patricia Corcoran Winters, aged 71, passed away peacefully on Monday June 11th, 2018 surround by friends and family. Pat was a native of Valley Stream, New York, but considered herself a proud Virginian. She attended Radford University.
Patricia was involved in the community and had a myriad of interests. As an avid quilter, she was a member of the Peninsula Piecemakers Quilt Guild and the Virginia Consortium of Quilters. Along with her special friends, she made over 100 quilts of valor for wounded veterans. Pat was also a Master Gardener, a certified Pharmacy Technician, and active in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
Patricia was proceeded by her husband, Retired Colonel Stephen Winters, and is survived by her two sons, Brian Winters and his wife, Linda, of Arlington, Virginia and David Winters and his wife, Shannon, of Inman, South Carolina. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Oskar and Theo Winters, her four sisters (Mary Baade, Barbara Jane Gallagher, Bettyann Como, and Susan Corcoran), one brother, Robert Corcoran, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 14th in Amory Funeral Home 410 Grafton Drive, Grafton, VA 23692. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday June 15th at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church 315 Harris Grove Road Yorktown, Virginia 23692. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) or Army Emergency Relief (aerhq.org). Arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, VA.
