Lelia Merrill Easley

Lelia Merrill Easley, 82, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018. Mrs. Easley was born in York County and was a Peninsula resident most of her life. She graduated from Poquoson High School class of 1953. Lelia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Edward Francis Easley and her son, Charles E. Easley; her mother, Marion Moore Butler and her father Garrett Joseph Butler.
She is survived by a daughter, Theresa Stephens; three sons, Richard D. Easley (Denise), Edward B. Easley and James Daniel Easley; her sister, Marion Shields and brothers, Joseph Donald Butler (Judi) and John Carter Butler (Mae); three grandchildren, Natasha Ulbricht, Kayla Stephens, Craig Tyler Nurney; great grandchild, Bentley Nurney and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018, in the chapel of Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
