Graham Lewis Johnson

Graham Lewis Johnson of Hampton, Va died on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Hampton Sentara Careplex Hospital. He was born on July, 12, 1956 in Hampton, VA to Evelyn Wright Johnson and Earlin Lewis Johnson, who preceded him in death. At the time of his death, he was the Director of Purchasing for Sam Rust Seafood, where he had worked for over 35 years. Graham was a lifelong resident of Fox Hill in Hampton. He was an avid saltwater fisherman. One of his greatest joys in life was fishing for cobia in the Chesapeake Bay on his boat, the Flood Tide. Graham was a lifelong musician and enjoyed playing his many guitars and recording music.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Nancy (Mauck) Johnson and his cat, Jaxx. He is also survived by his two sisters, Garnett Hutchinson and husband, Mark, of Poquoson, VA, and Gayle Kokolios and husband Alex, of California, MD, nephews John Lewis Knuteson, Lucas Dimitrios Kokolios, Nikolas Alexander Kokolios, and niece, Evelyn Paige Kokolios, a step-daughter, Megan Samonds and husband David and two grandchildren, Hunter Lee and Virginia Katherine.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heritage Humane Society in Williamsburg.
An open house to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, July 8, 2018, from 1PM to 4PM at the Commanding General’s Residence at Fort Monroe. Local arrangements by Amory Funeral Home.
